Abstract: Objective To explore the etiopathogenisis of idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia(TN) and the joint technique of Stereotactic and Radiofrequency thermocoagulation. Methods The foramen ovale was localized under CT scan and penetrated guided by CT stereotactic. 26 patients was treated by radiofrequency thermocoagulation, and compared with others treatments. Results Successful penetrations when guided by CT stereotactic.and satisfied treatments by Radiofrequency thermocoagulation were 100 percent were obse-rved in all patients.The complication was 8.6%(3 monthes) and 10.3%(1 year). Conclusions Pulse radiofrequency thermocoagulation for treatment of Idiopathic Trigeminal neuralgia by Stereotactic instrument is a ecurity and efficacious treatment and able to eli-minate complications.
