    Brief introduction of Tianjin Medical Journal
    （1）The journal English name is Tianjin Medical Journal (Tianjin Med. J.)and the Chinese name in pinyin is Tianjin Yiyao.
    Monthly; The inaugural publication was in 1959.

    The editorial board consists of national and international leading experts from almost all the fields of medical sciences. The manuscripts are accepted in Chinese with English abstract from the nationalwide.
    （2）Tianjin Medical Journal is a academic journal of synthetic medicine which including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, paediatrics etc. The journal disseminates and expands the progresses of clinical and experimental researches in time.The manuscripts accepted by Tianjin Medical Journal will be published according to the international standard for biomedical sciences, including colophon, table of contents, abstracts in both Chinese and in English. A free sample copy of each issue is available up request.
    （3） In China, Tianjin Medical Journal has become one of Chinese core journals with high impact factor and citation rate. It has been listed and awarded as the National Excellent Journals and one of the top “Double Hundred” Journals by the Chinese Journal Phalanx. In addition, the Tianjin Medical Journal was honored as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Northern Excellent Journals in 2004, 2007, and 2009 successively, the North China Top Ten and Excellent Journal (8 consecutive years), Tianjin Best Journal (10 consecutive years), and Tianjin First-grade Journal (9 consecutive years).  
    （4）Internationally, Tianjin Medical Journal has been recognized and indexed by several important international science databases, including Chemical Abstracts (SciFinder Scholar Web), EBSCOhost, InfoBase Index, Abstract Journal (AJ), CAB Abstracts/Global Health (CABI), Index of Copernicus, Japan Science and Technology Agency (Chinese Bibliographic Database) and Ulrichsweb.
