Abstract: Abstract:Objective To master the prevalence condition of HIV and syphilis, the detection status of HIV and syphilis in the laboratory of our hospital’s venereal disease out-patient clinic was analyzed. Methods TPPA and RPR were used to detect syphilis, and positive percentage of first diagnosis was calculated. Meanwhile, ELISA and latex chromatographic analysis test were used to detect anti-HIV antibody of all serum specimens. Results 3554 patients were detected syphilis, the result of 1168 patients was positive (32.7%) .The positive rate of male and female is 16.6% and 16.1% respectively. The positive rate of female is higher than that of male in 21~30 age group ,while male’s positive rate is higher than female’s in other group. 4318 samples were screened anti-HIV antibody, the result of 31 patients was positive, including 1 female whose syphilis result was negative , and 30 male . Among 30 anti-HIV antibody positive male patients, 22 patients were infected by syphilis at the same time, and all patients had homosexuality history. 21-30 group had maximum detected patients and syphilis、HIV infected patients. Discussion The positive rate of syphilis transmitted by sex was in a higher level, which maybe be associated with multiple sexual partners among men who have sex with men (MSM), and unprotected sexual behavior .MSM increase the co-infection rate of syphilis and HIV, which indicate the relative department enact correlated policy for different susceptible population, and control the popular tendency of syphilis and HIV.
