Abstract: Currently, lobectomy is the preferred treatment for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer for its relatively lower recurrence rate compared to sublobar resection .However, recent retrospective studies reveal a similarity in recurrence and survival rate between sublobar resection and lobectomy in the early treatment of peripheral lung cancer. When deciding on the operational means of local excision, scholars generally support sublobar resection rather than lobectomy .This study reviews the current status of sublober resection for early-stage lung cancer, with emphasis on prognostic factors.
