Abstract: Objective The aim of this expriment is to investigate the expression and significance of PPARγ, p27kip1 and Skp2 in hepatocellular carcinoma. Method Immunohistochemistry was performed for PPAR-γ, p27Kip1, and Skp2 in 57 cases HCC patients who had undergone operations at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University, between 2004 and 2007. Results A significant inverse correlation was found between p27Kip1 andSkp2 expression in HCC(r=-0.307,P=0.020).There was no significantcorrelation between PPAR-γ and P27kip1、Skp2 expression in HCC. Conclusion The expression of Skp2 was negatively correlated with P27kip1 in HCC，High Skp2 expression was significantly associated with poor prognosis. Skp2 might serve as the key prognostic factors in HCC.
