Abstract: 【Abstract】: Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of mild hypothermia and IABP in postcardiac surgical patients with severe heart failure. Methods 12 postcardiac surgical patients with severe heart failure despite of the use of IABP with massive doses of catecholamine underwent mild hypothermia and IABP. Hemodynamic parameters were measured such as CI,SvO2,lac and urine volume. Results After mild hypothermia and IABP,the CI of patients improved obviously(1.6±0.2 to 2.4±0.5L/min.m2 ), Mixed venous blood oxygen saturation increased(SvO2:52±5 to 65±7%),Urine output increased obviously(1.2±0.9 to 2.9±1.9ml/kg.h),Cr decreased obviously(282±25 to 95±10 mmol/L)(P<0.05). Conclusion Combination of mild hypothermia and IABP is a effective and simple procedure for the postcardiac surgical patients with severe heart failure to improve their cardiofunction.
