Abstract: Rapid on site evaluation (ROSE) technology of interventional pulmonology includes “cytological ROSE” and “microbiological ROSE”. Recently, this “ROSE” has gradually become one of the core technologies in modern interventional pulmonology. In this commentary, perspectives on origin and development, classification and clinical values, operational approach, clinical application, and how to do it well were summarized and remarked.
