Abstract: 【Abstract】 Objective To study the correlation between the body height and length in an alive people from incisors to cardia and provide the reference message for Medical work. Methods The length from incisors to cardia in 535 normal adults (male :259, 48.41%;female:276, 51.59% )was measured by electric gastroscopy ,the age ,sex, body length and BMI were also recorded ,and their relationship was analyzed. Results in 535 normal adults, the average body height ,BMI,length from incisors to cardia beteen male and female were (165.33±4.87)cm and(154.70±4.15)cm, (22.93±2.89)Kg/m2 and (23.02±2.30) Kg/m2、(40.47±1.65)cm and (38.53±1.27)cm,respectively.The difference of body height between male and female was significant(P<0.01),and the length from incisors to cardia was also different significantly(P<0.01).At the same time the BMI between male and female was not different. The body length from incisors to cardia had no correlation with age(r=0.026) and BMI(r=0.127) by linear regression analysis.but significantly correlated with body height (male :0.624 ,P<0.01;female: 0.347, P<0.01)。Conclusion The length from incisors to cardia can be estimated precisely by linear regression formula according to the length from incisors to cardia and body height.
