Abstract: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptorγ(PPARγ) is a subtype of ligand-activated nuclear transcription factor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPARs), and its closely relationship with ischemic cerebral vascular diseases is a hotspot for many investigators at present.The article reviews the progress about the general characteristics and neuro protections of PPARγ.
