Abstract: Canonical Wnt signaling(Wnt/β-catenin signaling) exits in the osteoblasts, which is composed of LRP5,β-catenin and GSK-3β et al.The changes of these conmponents in the cells can affect the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts, then control the formation and remolding of bone. The inactivation of LRP5 and β-catenin will suppress the Canonical Wnt signaling, then the differentiation of osteoblasts, which will induce the formation of bone. The inhibition of GSK-3β will increase the espression of the specific gene in the osteoblasts, contributing to the formation of bone.Osteoblast plays an important role in the formation and remolding of bone. The review is about the Canonical Wnt signaling how to regulate the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts.
