Abstract: Objective: To investigate clinical effects of implant prosthesis to the edentulous jaw patients resulted by severe periodontitis. Methods: 15 edentulous jaw patients resulted by severe periodontitis were treated by implant-supported complete overdenture,and received clinical examination and x-ray examination 1 year and 2 years later after restoration. Results: All implants within follow-up period were steady ,and belong to healthy implants.Conclusion: For edentulous jaw patients resulted by severe periodontitis, the therapeutic method of Straumann implant-supported overdenture has reliable effect, but long term effect should be observed further.
