Abstract: Objective: To estimate the clinical effect of cutting titanium inlay crown in the restoration of short cracked molar. Methods: Cutting titanium inlay crown were used to restore 45 short cracked molars. The cases were followed up for 3 years. Results: The success rate of the restoration was 93.3% in total. The effects of other 42 cutting titanium inlay crowns were satisfactory, the marginal sealing and the retention of the inlay crowns were acceptable, the secondary caries and perirhizoclasia had not been found. Conclusion: Not only retention but also resistance of a short cracked molar can be improved by means of cutting titanium inlay crowns.
