Abstract: Abstract Objective: To study the influence of insulin resistance on activity of PI3-K in platelet. Methods: 24 beagle dogs were randomly divided into control group and test group .The animal's diet was normal in control group and high-fat in test group to establish the animal models of insulin resistance. Normal blood sugar–high insulin clamp test was performed after six months to confirm the animal models of insulin resistance. The PI3-K activity, aggregation rate and adhension rate of platelet were measured. Results: PI3-K activity of test group is higher than normal control group (P<0.05) and platelet adhesion rate, aggregation rate were increased in test group(P<0.001). Conclusion: Insulin resistance increased platelet PI3-K activity, which was the key to enhanced platelet activity.

Key words: insulin resistance, the activity of PI3-K in platelet
