Abstract: Abstract Objective：To explore the achievement rates of porcelain laminate restoration based on different preparation designs. Methods：29 patients and 97 porcelain laminate veneers were prepared by facies labialis overlap (typeI), incisive edge overlap (type L) and finishing lines extended proximally (type U). And veneers' integrity, fracture, the marginal situation and color match were evaluated at 1week, 6months, 12 months and 18months.Results: There was 1 failure at 12 months preparaded by typeI, and 1failure at 12months and 1 failure at 18 months prepared by typeL, and 1failure at 6months and 1 failure at 18 months prepared by typeU. There ware no significent difference about achievement rates between 3 type preparations. Conclusion: Excellent effects porcelain laminate restorations were obtained by choiced reasoned tooth preparation.
