Abstract: Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of STAT3 and VEGF in Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and explore its relation to clinicopathological parameters and tumor angiogenesis. Methods STAT3 and VEGF expression in Salivary adenoid cystic .carcinoma were studied by immunohistochemistry in samples of tumor tissue from 50 patients with Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and those of normal parotid gland tissue from 15 healthy individuals. Results 1 The expression of STAT3 and VEGF protein are concerned with lymph node metastasis ,distant metastasis ,T stage and TNM stage(p all<0.05),its with gender and age are irrelevant(p all>0.05), 3 positive correlation was found between STAT3 and VEGF in Salivary adenoid cystic .carcinoma(r=0.305. P<0.05). Conclusion By raising VEGF, STAT3 might promoted in Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the formation of new blood vessels .Inhition of STAT3 pathway maybe a new way to prevent angiogensis of Salivary adenoid cystic .carcinoma.
