Abstract: Abstract: Objective:To observe the effect of KangNaoYe on the AA contents in serum and brain tissue in rats during cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in order to investigate the mechanism of action of KangNaoYe.Methods: Rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, such us sham-operation grop, ischemia-reperfusion grop, KangNaoYe grops with different dose, Edaravone grop. The models of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion were established in rats by methods of MCAO(middle cerebral artery occlusion). The animals were killed to the deadline of the schedule. The contents changes of Asp,Glu,Gly,γ-GABA in serum and brain tissue were were detected by reversed-phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography with pre-column derivatization respectively. Results: Compared with ischemia-reperfusion grop, Gly,γ-GABA activities were increased significantly , Asp,Glu content were decreased significantly in KangNaoYe groups(P<0.05~0.01). Conclusion: KangNaoYe shows protective effects on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. The mechanism is that KangNaoYe can mediate the level of AA in blood serum and brain tissue.
