Abstract: Abstract Objective: Simvastatin loaded collagen tissue engineering bone scaffold materials were built, to detect the physical and chemical properties, mechanical strength of these materials, and provide the choosed scaffold materials for experiment and clinical of tissue engineering. Methods: Pure tissue engineering bone scaffold materials, collagen loaded tissue engineering bone scaffold materials, simvastatin loaded tissue engineering bone scaffold materials were made by using allograft, and type-I collagen, and simvastatin. Their morphological features, constitute components and mechanical properties were examined by scanning electron microscopy, x-rays diffraction, mechanical assay. Results: Pure tissue engineering bone scaffold materials maintained natural network pore system; Collagen loaded tissue engineering bone scaffold materials maintained natural network pore system, the surface of network pore system was coated by collagen membrane; simvastatin loaded collagen tissue engineering bone scaffold materials maintained natural network pore system, the surface of network pore system was coated by collagen membrane. Pure tissue engineering bone materials, collagen loaded tissue engineering bone materials, Simvastatin loaded tissue engineering bone scaffold materials were consisted of [HA,Ca10 (OH)2(PO4) 6]. There was no significant stastical difference among the compression strength, bending strengthof the three scaffolds materials. Conclusions: Simvastatin loaded tissue engineering bone scaffold materials is similar with the other scaffold materials in physical and chemical properties, mechanical strength , and it is a kind of effective scaffold materials for tissue engineering bone.
