Abstract: ? Abstract Objective: To investigate the serum concentrations of RBP-4 and IL-6 related to insulin resistance in patients with Graves disease and type 2 diabetes. Methods: One hundred and seven patients with Graves diease were divided into initial diagnosis group(n=54) and treatment group (n=53) . Type 2 diabetes group(n=53).Fifty healthy subjects were selected for the control. The levels of glucose, insulin, free triiodothyronine ,free thyroxine, thyrotropin, antithyroglobulin antibody ,anti-thyroperoxidase antibody and anti-thyrotropin receptor were detected using fasting blood. The serum levels of RBP-4 and IL-6 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Result:The serum levels of RBP-4 in initial diagnosis group, treatment group and type 2 diabetes group were higher than control group(P<0.001、P<0.001、P<0.001). The serum levels of IL-6 in initial diagnosis group were higher than the treatment group ,type 2 diabetes group and control group (P<0.001、P<0.001、P<0.001). Conclusion:Insulin resistance in Graves disease patient may relate to high serum level of RBP-4 or IL-6.
