Abstract: [Abstract] Objective To investigate the relationship of hyperuricemia(HUA) with obesity, hypertension, hyperglycemia and lipid disorder. Methods 2734 employees were given a physical examination about blood uric acid, fasting plasma glucose and blood fat, the results were compared and analysed. Results The prevalence of HUA(21.7%) and MS(21.2%) in age≥40 group was significantly higher than that in age<40 group(13.6%、10.6%).The prevalence of MS in normal blood uric acid group was significantly higher than that in HUA group( 13.6% VS.17.9%, P<0.05 ) .Moreover, the prevalence of the components of MS(obesity, hypertension, hyperglycemia and lipid disorder) in HUA group was higher than those in normal blood uric acid group (P<0.05 ). Conclusion The prevalence of HUA and MS increased with aging, HUA closely related with MS and was one of risk factors.
