Abstract: Objective: To investigate the protein expressions of LKB1 and VEGFR2 in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Methods: The samples of tumor and normal lung tissues were from 78 patients with NSCLC. Immunohistochemical stainings for LKB1 and VEGFR2 were performed and the expression levels of both proteins were analyzed. Results: LKB1 expression as well as VEGFR2 expression was found both in tumor and normal lung tissues. Statistics data showed that significant differences of the positive expressions of LKB1 protein in different organizations, different degree of differentiation and composition of lymph node metastasis(P <0.05). There was also statistically significant in VEGFR2 in different tissue origin, differentiation, and lymph node metastasis(P <0.05). Conclusion: An opposite tendency existed in the expression of LKB1 and VEGFR2 in NSCLC. Moreover, low expression of LKB1 and high expression of VEGFR2 protein were related to the cells differentiation and lymph node metastasis in NSCLC, which may affect the prognosis of lung cancer.
