Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of artemin in esophageal carcinoma. Method By Immunohistochemistry and real-time PCR,used to detect the expression of artemin in 126 esophageal carcinoma and carcinoma adjacent tissue, 21 normal esophageal tissue.RNA interference technology was used to suppress the expression of artemin protein in TE11 esophageal carcinoma cell line,we observed the effect of apoptosis . Results The positive rate of artemin in esophageal carcinoma was significantly higher than those in carcinoma adjacent tissue and normal tissue. In addition ,the small interferon RNA expression vector can effectively inhibit the expression of artemin in TE11 cell line,and then promoted the apoptosis of TE11 cell line. Conclusion The expression of artemin was relate to the biological behavior of esophageal carcinoma.
