Clinical effect of preserving the parabiosis tissue of electrical burn wounds with Vacuum sealing drainage

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the use of Vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) to preserve the parabiosis tissue of electrical burn wounds. Methods: We treated 30 clinical patients with a total of 42 electrical burn wounds with VSD, included 37 wounds use VSD directly after the surgical debridement; 5 wounds use VSD after surgical debridement and skin grafts. Result: Amount to 42 wounds were treated with VSD in this series, The skin grafts survived well and the wounds were completely healed. Discussion: Application of VSD in the treatment of post-debridement electrical burn wounds is conducive to the repair of these wounds. It can be an effective method to preserve the parabiosis tissue, promote skin grafts survived.
