Abstract: Abstract Objective: To introduce an innovative operation style of performing microscope-assisted fasciculated ligation of the spermatic vein at the annulus inguinalis externalis. Methods: 133 cases of microscope-assisted fasciculated ligation of the spermatic vein at the annulus inguinalis externalis were retrospectively analyzed. The current operation style and the limitations were discussed. Results: Microscope-assisted fasciculated ligation of the spermatic vein at the annulus inguinalis externalis had relatively less surgical injury and complication, better postoperative recovery in patients with higher improvement rate of postoperative semen. Conclusions: Compared to the standard microscope-assisted ligation of the spermatic vein at the annulus inguinalis externalis, microscope-assisted fasciculated ligation of the spermatic vein could significantly improve the operative efficiency, shorten the operative time. It would be suitable for promotion in the broad masses of grass-roots hospitals.
