Abstract: Dumping syndrome is a common complication after esophageal, gastric and bariatric surgery. This paper introduces a case of late dumping syndrome due to repeated severe hypoglycemia after 8 years of treatment for gastric cardia cancer surgery. After treatment with acarbose, the blood glucose was stable. After follow-up for 2 years, no hypoglycemic reactions such as fatigue and palpitation occurred again. The purpose of this study was to explore the diagnosis and treatment of late dumping syndrome in order to improve the understanding of the disease.
