Abstract: Hepatic fibrosis is considered as a kind of repair response of liver to various chronic injury factors. Progressive liver fibrosis can lead to the development of cirrhosis and even hepatocellular carcinoma. Current researches have indicated that liver fibrosis is reversible. Several signaling pathways are involved in the occurrence and development of liver fibrosis, among which Notch signaling pathway plays a critical role in liver fibrogenesis. In this paper, the research progress of Notch signaling pathway in liver fibrogenesis is reviewed.
