Abstract: Abstract Objective:To investigate the relationship between microalbuminuria and the indeces of fat. Methods:.Based on the results of the body mass index(BMI),the 292 type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) patients were divided into normal weight group(88 cases),overweight group (121 cases)and obesity group(83cases).The differences of 24h urinary microalbumin(UMA) were compared among the three groups, and therefore, the factors that influence UMA were drawed. Results:There were significant differences in the values of BMI、waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)、waist –to-height ratio(WHtR)、UMA、systolic pressure(DBP) among three groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05);Correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between UMA and the duration of the disease, WHtR,WHR,BMI,SBP,DBP(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed WHtR,SBP were independent risk factors of UMA(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion:The possibility of having UMA was significantly increased in T2DM patients with higher WHtR;The abdorminal obesity is an risk factor of UMA in T2DM patients.
