Abstract: ABSTRACT Objective :To analyze the pathologic types of orbital intraconal tumors and their image characteristics . Methods: The clinical and image characteristics of 43 patients verified by post operation pathological examinations were studied retrospectively. The patients then underwent operation based on the clinical diagnosis and the findings on the imaging modalities .Results: There were 24 cases of cavernous hemangioma , 7 cases of neurilemmoma , 6 cases of hematolymphangioma ,5 cases of venous hemangioma ,and one meningeoma. In all patients, different tumors have different image characteristics, so it is helpful for diagnosis in combination with CT and color doppler imaging(CDI).Conclusions: The common orbital intraconal tumors are cavernous hemangioma, neurilemmoma, hematolymphangioma and venous hemangioma. Combined clinical characteristics with CT and CDI can be useful for making correct diagnosis of orbital tumors.
