Abstract: Objective: The question of whether donor age impacts donor and recipient outcomes in adult-to-adult living related liver transplantation (LRLT) was rarely discussed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of older donor age (>55) on donor and recipient outcomes in adult-to-adult LRLT. Methods:LRLT Clinical data of both recipients and donors of the transplantation department of Tianjin first central hospital were retrospectively evaluated from our 4 LRLT cases of older donor age (>55). Results: Postoperative recovery of liver function for donors and recipient/graft survival were not influenced by donor age except for one donor. Conclusion:Selected right lobe donors from individuals who were 55 years of age or older can be used in adult-to-adult LRLT.
