The complication of laparoscopic Soave pull-through for Hirschsprung’s disease in newborn and small infants

Abstract: The complication of laparoscopic Soave pull-through for Hirschsprung’s disease in newborn and small infants [abstract] objective To explore the complication of laparoscopic Soave pull-through for Hirschsprung’s disease in newborn and small infants and find it’s prevention method. Methods Twenty-eight cases with Hirschsprung’s disease were operated by a modification Soave’s procedure under laparoscopy form May 2006 to June 2009. Results The complications were found in seven cases after operations, one case with abdominal bleeding, two cases with postoperative enterocolitis, one case with hematuria and one case with colon partly recovery. Conclusions Although laparoscopic Soave pull-through for Hirschsprung’s disease had some avoidable complications by disposing appropriately, it would be a satisfactory method for Hirschsprung’s disease in newborn and small infants.
