Abstract: Abstract Objective:To observe the influence of nerve growth factors (NGF) on vitality and function of the islet cell by the action of Amylin. Methods:Islet cells under the Amylin were incubated with NGF in different concentration ,and we observed the MTT reduction capacity and the amount of insulin secretion. The latter contains the level of insulin both base and high glucose condition .Results: Remarkable decrease both in the secretion of insulin and the reduction capacity on MTT was noticed in the 10umol/lAmylin group. And when were incubated with NGF(>50ng/ml) the inhibition can be dose-dependent relieved. Conclusion: NGF can restore Islet cell’s viability inhibited by high concentration amylin, and recovery the secretory functional of islet B cell.
