Abstract: Objective Analysis the influence of current perception threshold(CPT) by different frequency and time of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).It measured the CPT of the foramen area and the arm area to evaluate the effect of TENS. It gave different frequency and time of TENS to 30 Healthy volunteers Hegu and measured the CPT of the foramen area and the arm area on the same side. Results The CPT of the foramen area increased. The low frequency of TENS inhibited the slow pain significantly, the high frequency of TENS inhibited both of the slow pain and the fast pain. The inhibition to the pain is more obviously influenced by the frequency of TENS than the time of TENS. Conclusion It is confirmed the channel and point TENS can influence the CPT of the specific reaction area, the choice of the appropriate frequency of the treatment is more important than extending the treatment time alone.
