Diagnosis and treatment of bladder hemangioma(a report of 12 cases and a review of literature)

Abstract: Abstract Objective:To investigate the clinical feature,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of the bladder hemangioma. Methods:The clinical data of 12 cases with bladder hemangioma was retrospectively analyzed and discussed in combination with relevant literature. All patients with bladder hemangioma have been followed-up successfully. Results:10 patients were treated with partial cystectomy,with 2 patients treated with TUR-BT. All patients were diagnosed the bladder hemangioma by postoperative pathology. During the time of following-up from 4 months to 6 years,there were no recurrence and metastasis to be found in all cases. Conclusion:The urinary bladder hemangioma with good prognosis is benign tumor occurred rarely in clinic. Although the initial diagnosis of bladder hemangioma could be made in combination with medical imaging,the final diagnosis depends on pathological examination. Treatment options should rely on the factual situations,and partial cystectomy is the first choice for the treatment of bladder hemangioma.
