Abstract: Abstract　Objective　To explore the proper method for the treatment of the distal radius fracture. Methods　The data of 87 patients with the distal radius fracture were collected and analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into three groups and classified with the AO method. The surgical treatment comprised the closed reduction and the application of the splint, the closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation, and the open reduction and the internal fixation. .Result The date of 87 patients were followed up, and the curative effect was evaluated by the Dienst system. The excellent and good rate was 42.8% in closed reduction and the application of the splint,54.5% in the closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation, and 86.5% in the open reduction and the internal fixation. Conclusion Compared with the closed reduction and the application of the splint，plate internal fixation is better in treatment of distal radius fractures
