CT and MRI of Pediatric Orbit Tumors and Tumorlike Lesions

Abstract: 【Abstract】Objective: To analyze the CT and MRI of pediatric orbit tumors and tumorlike lesions. Methods: CT and MRI findings of 49 children with pathologically or clinically proved orbital tumor were retrospectively analyzed. Results: 36 cases are osseous lesions of the orbit, including 19 dermoid cysts, 4 fibrous dysplasia, 2 Langerhans cell histiocytosis, 4 granulocytic sarcoma, and 7 neuroblastoma Metastases. 13 cases are nonosseous lesions of the extraocular orbit, including 9 Infantile Hemangiomas and 4 Neurofibromatosis type 1. Conclusion: CT and MRI can be useful to define the extent of the lesion, narrow the differential diagnosis, have important value to the following treatment.
