The classification of ultrasonic images and the choice of surgeries of chest wall tuberculosis

Abstract: Abstract: Objective To discuss the classification of the chest wall tuberculosis through analysing the ultrasonic images of 76 cases. Methods Collecting the data of 76 cases of chest wall tuberculosis confirmed by surgery and pathology in our hospital and summarizing their ultrasonic characteristics. Results There are 5 types of ultrasonic images according to the pathological changes, typeⅠ:lump shape, 3 cases; typeⅡ: dumbbell shape, 27 cases; type Ⅲ: ruptured shape, 21 cases; type Ⅳ: crab claw shape, 23 cases; type Ⅴ: distant metastases shape, 2 cases. Conclusions The ultrasonic images can clearly indicate the shape and the involved field of chest wall tuberculosis and also their chassification,which has definite clinical significance in the choice of surgeries.
