Abstract: Objective To observe the dexmedetomidine in inhibition of cardiovascular response to double-lumen endobronchial intubation. Methods Thirty ASA I ~ II patients, aged 18-65 years, weighing 50-80kg, scheduled for lung or esophageal surgery were randomly assigned to two groups: control group (C group, n=15) and dexmedetomidine group (D group, n=15), group D was given dexmedetomidine 1μg/kg before anesthesia induction, infusion time was 15min; group C was given 10ml saline instead of dexmedetomidine. BP and HR were recorded before infuse of dexmedetomidine(T0), before intubation (T1), immediately after intubation (T2) and at 1,3,5,10 min after intubation (T3-T6). Results Compare with C group, HR was significantly decreased at T1 in group D(P <0.05); HR, SBP and DBP were lower at T2-T5 in group D (P <0.05); HR, SBP and DBP were no difference at T6 in group D (P>0.05). Conclusion 1μg/kg dexmedetomidine infusion before anesthesia may effectively inhibit double-lumen endotracheal tube intubation cardiovascular responses.
