Abstract: Abstract: Objective To investigate the role on budesonide to the expression of SERCA2 in asthmatic rat’s airway smooth muscle cell. Methods According to random method, the rats were divided into normal group, asthmatic group and budesonide intervened group. By inhaled OVA to make asthmatic rat model and primary culture ASMC; Real-time PCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression of SERCA2 in ASMC. Results The expression of SERCA2mRNA and protein in asthmatic group were less than in normal group (P < 0.05); in budesonide intervened group the expression increased than in asthmatic group (P < 0.05); but the expression of SERCA2mRNA and protein in budesonide intervened group compared with normal group, the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). Conclusion The expression of SERCA2 in asthmatic ASMC decreased than in normal group; budesonide could increase the expression of SERCA2mRNA, which could be benefit to promote the calcium reserve in ASMC and reduce airway hyper- responsiveness in asthma.
