Abstract: Objective To review the clinical experience of laparoscopic nephrectomy for dysplastic kidneys.Methods The clinical data of 21cases of Laparoscopic nephrectomy for dysplastic kidneys from Jan．2001 to Jun．2011 were retrospectively reviewed.Results The operations of 14 cases were successfully performed with laparoscopy,and 7cases with retroperitoneal laparoscopy.The remaining 2cases converted to open suegery.There were no intraoperative or postoperative complications;The operation time ranged from 48to 162minutes(mean 62min); The postoperative hospital stay ranged from 3 to 10days(mean 5.5days). The follow-up from 6months to10 years showed the children recovered uneventfully.Conclusions laparoscopic nephreetomy for dysplastic kidneys is safe and effective method.
