Abstract: Acute pericardial tamponade during percutaneous coronary intervention was usually caused by coronary artery perforation which requires cardiologist to identify and treat as soon as possible. Recently, many cases of pericardial tamponade caused by cardiac rupture were reported, which often occurred unexpectedly. A case of cardiac rupture after successful PCI with myocardial reinfarction is herein reported in order to remind physician this possibility and rescure the patient promptly.
