Abstract: Abstact Objective: To investigate the epidemiological feature and relevant risk factors of metabolic syndrome among policeman in Tianjin，our reseach aims to provide the scientific study for making preventive and control measures of metabolic syndrome among policeman in Tianjin .Methods: Adopting cross-section survey，we investigated 4160 police officers in Tianjin and the risk factors of MS were analyzed with the logistic regression.Results: The prevalence of metabolic syndrome among policemen in Tianjin is 17.52% and standardization prevalence is 15.16%.Relelvant risk factors of MS included age(OR=1.329)，female(OR=1.927)，diabetes family history(OR=2.356)，smoking(OR=3.724) and obesity(OR=1.461).Conclusion: The prevalence of metabolic syndrome among policemen in Tianjin is high.We should make some effective measures against MS in the high-risk population．
