Abstract: Objective: To explore the related risk factors of cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension. Methods: Clinical data from 507 patients with hypertension who hospitalized in Tianjin Chest Hospital from Jan 2007 to Dec 2009 were analyzed focusing on the risk factors of cardiovascular events. We analyze the indicators between patients who occurred with and without cardiovascular events. We used Logistic regression to analyze the related factors in order to explore the risk factors of cardiovascular events. Results: Among the 507 patients with hypertension, 288 were male and 219 were female. The incidence of cardiovascular events is 46.15%. The incidence is 70.09% in male and 29.91% in female. The independent risk factors of cardiovascular events were age, sex, BMI, LDL-C and fibrinogen. Conclusions: For patients with hypertension, fibrinogen is another independent risk factor for cardiovascular events besides traditional risk factors. We should pay more attention to it.
