Abstract: Abstract :Objective To explore the clinical value of the risk of malignancy index in patients with ovarian masses. Methods Choosing 30 cases of malignant ovarian tumor patients and 201 cases of benign ovarian tumor patients and computing the risk of malignancy index(RMI)based on serum CA125.menopausal status and ultrasound score. The risk of malignancy index quantity before laparotomy and their pathology after laparotomy were analyzed retrospectively sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, positive predictive value was used for calculation. Results The sensitivity and specificity of RMI for ovarian neoplasm was 80% and 93.5%,respectively its positive predictive value was 64.9%while its negative predictive value was 96.9%。Conclusion The serum of CA125 combined with ultrasound can significantly improve the sensitivity and specificity of malignant ovarian tumor. The combined detection may discover the ovarian neoplasm early and it is good for evaluating the character of the ovarian masses.
