Abstract: Objective:To examine the clinical features of patients with late oneset systemic lupus erythematosus (LOSLE). Methods:41 cases with LOSLE between 2007 and 2009 were reviewed and analyzed ,and compaired with 81 patients who developed SLE below 50 by matching their clinical manifestations, laboratory data and complications. Results:Compaired with the control group, the LOSLE group had a lower female to male ratio(p<0.01); but the incidences of anorexia、myalgia、anergy、weight descent、pulmonary involvement、secondary sjogren syndrome and positive RF、positive anti-SSA were significant higher (p<0.05); the incidences of lupus nephritis、photo sensitivity、anemia、leukopenia、platelet cytopenia、malar rash、positive anti-dsDNA and low complement were significant lower (p<0.05). Conclusion:compared with young and middle-aged SLE patients, the clinical manifestations of LOSLE patients’ are atypical, SLEDAI scores are lower, but complications more than the former.
