Abstract: Abstract:The pathogenesis of skeletal muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury is complex, which leads to serious consequences. The effective reduction of such injury has important clinical significance. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), a gaseous messenger, can reduce skeletal muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury by scavenging oxygen free radicals, decreasing cell apoptosis, reducing leukocytic aggregation and activation, decreasing no-reflow phenomenon in microcirculation and interacting with nitric oxide (NO). We reviewed the mechanisms of skeletal muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury affected by H 2S, which can provide theoretical basis and new research ideas for the reduction of skeletal muscle ischemia-reperfusion injury in clinical practice
